Sandwich with Black Angus steak - Argentina

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 Black Angus Steaks
  • Maldon sea salt flakes
  • Maldon perfectly crushed pepper
  • 2 cups Ardo sliced mixed peppers
  • 4 tbsp Chorio extra virgin olive oil, divided
  • 1 package foodhaus small baguettes, for serving

METHOD

1. Heat the pan to medium-high heat.

2.  Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil and cook the sliced mixed peppers for 8-10 minutes, or until caramelized. Remove from the pan and cover to keep warm.

3. Season steaks with salt and pepper and allow to rest for 10 minutes.

4. Place steaks on the pan and cook 10 to 12 minutes for medium-rare, or cook until the desired doneness, turning halfway through. Remove steaks to a platter and let them rest for 5 minutes.

5. While steaks rest, brush the cut side of baguettes with the remaining olive oil and place cut-side down on the pan until toasty.

6. Slice the steaks and place them on toasted buns. Top with caramelized peppers.
